LenMarriott 9 Posted September 5, 2007 Doug, This latest offering has nice rich colours though the high contrast mid day lighting detracts rather than enhances the shot (note the black, detail starved shadows). A bit too tightly cropped. A visual tension is produced when major elements are too close to or touch the edge of the frame. Failing a reshoot on an overcast day a scrim or piece of light softening fabric would have lowered the contrast ratio a bit. One could even use fill flash though all of these devices may have concealed the feature that first attracted you, the unusuall sheen exhibited by these blooms. Tough call! Don't be a stranger!
