You really have developed your own particular pallet, David. I think I could pick your photos out anywhere. The tones here are great.

So funny Jack said what he did...I was browsing quickly through the forum and at a glance caught the title. I knew instinctively it was yours, and like Jack...I would have know the photo was yours with or without the title! Love the title...love the shot! By the way, I've been out of town a good bit lately and as well, have taken less time on PNet but will be visiting more with you in the coming days. Good to see your work again... john

Another classic, a little more stark this time. A little more direct. Keep going!

Like the comments above, your use of color is wonderful. Its just the kind of color I want but can't seem to get. Very inspiring-

I concur with the comments above. The symmetry of the building, its anonymity supported by the "pale" colour, and the colours are striking. Nicely done. Cheers, Micheal

Thanks again for commenting. I'm especially grateful you didn't ask how I process, because it's all just playing around, and I couldn't tell you exactly what I did.

I don't wish to sound like a broken record, nor a prima donna, but I find it so interesting that three people anonymously place 3/3 ratings on this. Below average in looks and originality both. Strangely enough, everyone else was five or higher. Strange, very strange.

Somehow in my flurry of bitching, I overlooked your comment. Thanks, as always for taking so much time to view and comment. I may not always agree with you, but I can count on you to be pretty damn honest with your opinions. And you've got a hell of an eye for detail.

I have an opinion about these raters who give 3's. It springs from an experience I had reading comments on one of the photos displayed on the PN home page last year. The reviewer was obviously a scholar, maybe even a good one in his field, but his comments were utter rubbish: he was just trying to show/exercise his cleverness. And guess what - when I went to his portfolio there were no photos.

I would say that it is absolutely safe to dismiss all the 3 ratings you get, because they were given by yahoos who never tried photography. Granted, there are some folks on this website posting poor photos

that do deserve 3 or even lower, but you know that you're not one of them. So safely dismiss the low ratings. And if you are after uniqueness of your photos, rather than making it to the PN home page, you know you've got it. I can spot your photos very safely even amidst hundreds of V8 bottles. Cheers, Micheal

Of course you are right. Last night, I was just getting a bit obsessed with it. The most healthy thing to do is not dwell on it. So I'll do my best to drop the issue. At least for awhile. Gotta go drink my morning V8.
