davidroossien 0 Posted August 23, 2007 I enjoy the texture of her lips that stand out so strongly against the smoothness of her skin. Similarly, I like the way you've emphasized other details like her shoulder, dimple, and shadows on her neck. Almost featureless skin on the right, but more and more detail as you move to the left. billkantor 0 Posted October 1, 2007 A striking portrait. Perfect execution. Light is well balanced and creates a lovely interplay of contrasts between her hair and skin. Similar to the contrast of her lips and face as already pointed out. Very successful image. Cheers,Bill Link to comment
maria_di_liegro 0 Posted February 24, 2008 What a distinctive model for your portrait and she looks beautiful in b/w! This is a very feminine portrait. Having been a makeup artist for years, I would like to make a suggestion. She's got great lips. However, the contrasting (darker) lip pencil was a trend for a few years, many years ago, that has since passed. It is now a dated look. For a timeless, classic and glamorous/sensual look on the lips, it works best if the lip pencil is in the same shade as the lipstick. That way there is no distracting lip line and one just sees wonderful, full, sexy lips. Regards, Maria Link to comment
