this man is from the village of Niegoshi, a very high on the mountains of Montenegro.( 1000m up sea level)

He was very happy to be a " model".....maybe the most exciting event in his day.... especially seeing himself on the screen of the camera.....

Thanks for your thoughts.

Good portrait, excellent exposure. Usually we are warned against having the subject 'squint' but it works here.

Real life, Pnina. Well caught, expressive, somewhat joyful, great realistic colors and lighting, focus handled beautifully.

I like this Pnina. The lighting is gentle and flattering; the skin tones are great..., the crop is just enough to give an initial impression, the expression is one that looks before he was set to enter into a pose. It looks to be a flattering portrait. Will you send him a copy? Something about him looks kind and dignified--hope I'm not projecting... Donna

Thanks to all of you, this man and the woman, Fela, for me were an example , that people can live simple, , at a god forsaken point on the glob, and still enjoy life. Thats what they reflected ,in my short interaction with them.

Very good portrait of an old man. He resembles my father who was also used to live in the open and was also sun burnt. Regards. Yves P.

Strongly composed, dear Pnina. Love how the "empty" eyelids - eyes not visible - mirror his edentulous mouth. Wonderful and dignified expression you've captured. Beautifully framed, my friend. He seems so warm and welcoming. Very nice portrait, Pnina. Regards.

I love these two portraits, Pnina ... especially this one. He does look delighted! The DOF is perfect, and his expression is priceless. :-)
