kirk d 0 Posted August 22, 2007 I like your focus and blurred choice here. Makes the image look like its is three dimensional! Now, you see with that title I've got to wonder if Jesus cast off his crown and took the stairs up to his father or went through the door to join his disciples. Not that it matters in real life because I think heaven is more a state of mind/being than a place...(oops, there I go again - nothing to do with the picture). Jeff, I like your new Bio pic but you let the cat out the bag now. Your wife is the one taking the great pictures and you're stealing them from her and posting them as your own! You're in trouble if she finds out! Kirk Link to comment
skyjammer 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Wow.......... "Cast them off, for the work to save man is now done. Now I return back up the stairway to heaven, to be with my father" Great picture, Jeff. This image brought so much to mind, I had to pause before commenting. Stark & Beautiful is where I'll leave this. Great job!! Regards, -Ade Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Mehmet, Ade, J.K. and Kirk. I'm glad you found this interesting and thought-provoking. This was taken while wandering in San Antonio and seemed to have religious overtones to it. I really appreciate your comments. Kirk--My wife is as adept as I with the camera, but takes very different photos. She's always berating me for taking artsy shots while missing the action. With her photos, you can always tell what what happening, while mine becomes a collection of oddities, angles, elbows, and abstracts. She'll enjoy your comment when I tell her. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted August 23, 2007 A strong and provocative composition with wonderful tones and great details. In my view the crown of thorns represents the pain that we carry inside, whether it is the death of a loved one, a separation, lack of self esteem, etc. The door and the stairs symbolize choices that we can take and there is always more than one option. I believe that one is able to "leave the crown of thorns" behind when one is able to remember without feeling the pain. To me that is a sign that we have moved on. Link to comment
hy 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Well Jeff, if this is a photo taken by your wife, then congratulation to her - for a very interestingly composed photo. I think, here the angle makes it again. I can see that 3d thingy, too. Best regards Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Hasan, Nope this is my shot. Her shots end up in scrapbooks and family albums (and my bio pic). Thanks. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 23, 2007 Jeff, very unusual corner. steps to where? very unusal dry rolled "wreath" ? and still aesthetic composition, a bit of a puzzle.... BUT, not the sweet bio pic!! Link to comment
