aslavihervuori 0 Posted August 20, 2007 Thank You for your comments. Wabi-sabi is perhaps nearest "trend" with this photo (at least what I tried). I am not really sure of this photo. Should I have used more DOF? Give some more contrast? OTOH I do not want to execute this scene as a Graphic work/pencil work. That is also why I allowed background to be rather gray. Was that mistake? I appreciate all opinions, advices and notes. Thank You. a s l a Link to comment
tzalavras 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Dear Asla, being this a "setup" shot (in contrast to one on location) you have several tools at your disposal. For example, the shape of the right and up "flower" (in the frame) is not as interesting and clear as the three lower ones. It takes up space and steals some of the inherent interest of the other forms, just by being there. So, if you don't have ethical problems (distorting reality and what not;) to cut it off, I think it could be the solution you're looking for. In my opinion your DOF is fine. Regards. Link to comment

elisabetta moschetto 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Thank you for your comment to my "Good News" Asla...also because it gave me the opportunity to look at your portfolio. I like very much your compositions: simple, but full of meanings. To me, the best way to let everyone's phantasy fly. Congrats. Eli Link to comment
