Very interesting. I usually don't like a whole lot of manipulation in photos, but I commented on this one because I really like the framing, the work on the eyes, and the right side of the mouth. The high key works great on that right side of the mouth. Awesome.

Micki, this is really your genre, you are really shining in these dreamportraits...remember those stupid "Glamour Shots" from the 80's--this is so much better, I'll bet you could sell this photo (not that you would-it's your daughter-isn't it?) for over $100!!

How exciting!!

**This is NOT 3/3 or 4/4 work--I saw those ratings and they must be from stuffy, traditional photography boring people that make portraits like my Graduation Picture--you are right, all of the girls look the same in those!**

I appreciate your comment! Yes I try to get people who normally don't comment on pictures like this to realize this is actually a real picture and yet it isn't. There is still emotion to it.

Kellen, YEP it is my daughter. SHE wan't THIS picture and it just flowed. I am about to do your pic ;)

Been excited about it ~ he he

I agree. Something different but not over the top looking like you make THEM look like them but make them look like something different.

Like Changing your smile to a smile was cool but changing you to to much makeup isn't. BUT changing you to something different is! You should see this printed WOW! It is like the sun and the clouds a whirling her up.

Nikki,

Marvelous! Another extraordinary and distinctive image. To me, this looks like an illustration for magical children's story, perhaps a character in a book, a princess of course. Maybe you could just write a children's book to go with it. It absolutly enchanting, so sweetly exotic, and mysterious.

Very dreamy, Micki! I agree that this is like a fairy tale...what young girl doesn't wish for the stars? :) My only suggestion would be to include her shoulders or more...I love the free space above her head, but feel her head is a bit chopped off at the bottom. Just a thought. Otherwise, I love your dreamy creativity! :)

... Oops! excuse me girls .. just want to say something. Miki ! This new style of yours is very attractively striking/forceful ,having strong effect to the viewer. While I wonder ,it got me spellbound and put me into a trance. Perhaps you can

try this to male portraits ? I don't have to guess who? Maybe..maybe..can't wait.. heheh!

We all do! Great work here Micki! Great smooth colours, and good expression! He would not be the first one, and not the last! Best regards, Torfinn.

First I didn't notice that there was a hyperlink on that word, it shows it deep blue instead of violet on my page! Then I waited to have the final word, maybe I waited too much, ha!

Who's that beautiful girl who misses me? Tell her not to worry, I'll be back one day or maybe even sooner, ha! And I'm here even now! But invisible, waiting in ambush!

Thank you Micki! Next time when you want my opinion paste a larger hyperlink and tell me that there is one, ha! The old eyes don't see anymore as they used to do and it's a real trouble for a so called photographer!

I'm now trying to get back to the real life which includes using a camera, biking 50 km each and every day (loosing my huge belly), reading books and reconsidering my overall "art" work!

Cheers to that all!

Sometimes stars miss you from way afar!

;)

I know eventually you would see it. I was never worried.

This is my daughter. She actually took this picture of herself and wanted me to make it into a "fairy" picture for her. I made her into a star. I felt that she was looking at you.

SHE loves your work and so she was sad to see you go. I have taken her to your webpage where we will continue to look.

I just wanted you to know STARS are always looking down on you. :)~

Always tryin to improve myself!
