snapshooter 0 Posted August 18, 2007 After two hours of reading, this is a first attempt at HDR editing and the original is attached to this. I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions from those already using HDR. This is from a single shot using Gamma varied copies. Thank you. Link to comment
david israel 0 Posted August 18, 2007 I love the color and the shot as a whole...You have inspired me to look into this HDR thing.. Thanks, David Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 18, 2007 I don't understand HDR, having never used it, but I'll chime in anyways. This is a pleasing shot, very richly saturated, and more painterly than the original. Well done. Link to comment

eye of the lens 0 Posted August 20, 2007 This is done very well. I've read about HDR and seen some brief tutorials on them but haven't had the opportunity to try it. Did you do this in Photoshop CS3 or figure it out on your own. I'm not an expert on this, but from everything I've seen and heard about HDR This is a fine example. Hope your proud of it. I know I would be. Maybe proud is the wrong word .... at the very least I hope you're satisfied with it. :) Barbara Link to comment
susan stone 0 Posted August 26, 2007 This image is why I find HDR work so appealing, it's that wonderful "painterly" quality that it lends to a composition. This is an excellent first try Doug, I would love to learn how to do this too. But even without the HDR effect this would be a great image, the palm trees really make the photo for me, there's an interesting story here I'm sure.....my kinda place in the sun. Link to comment
ffrank 0 Posted August 29, 2007 This looks really good Doug. You turned an otherwise bland photo into a nicely textured and beautifully colored image. I would have rated higher but there is something very grainy going on in the upper half of the right edge. I hope you don't mind my saying so. Greetings from Montana. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted August 29, 2007 It looks really good! I don't know how to do HDR but this looks like you pulled it off! And further.. this is a great photo - really beautifully composed! Link to comment

mvisionphotography 1 Posted September 27, 2007 I want so badly to be able to do this with a portrait for a wedding of a friend. I am at a loss what to do for her as she just eloped. This would work SO WELL. I can send you what I have done that looks almost like HDR and I think it is similar as I have just painted back into what was there. Sharpened up there picture (it was a small pixel). It is wild. I can send it to you to see what I have done so far. BUT, I would like to do this affect ;) Link to comment
