This was taken on my first trip to Monument Valley. It was very

overcast and though at first I thought these aren't the conditions

that I wanted, it ended up a successful trip photo wise. This was one

of those photo taken with and approaching storm. Tri-x film EV 160 and

given N+1 development to boost the contrast.

Remarkable tones. And a great picture.

I know that for this one you used film, but someday, if I'm lucky, you'll share your PS recipe for duplicating the quality of Ektalure.

Thank you all for your kind comments. For those of you who want the recipe for the Ektalure Cream look: Convert to RGB mode and then 8 bit and then add a Color Balance Adjustment layer with the following settings:

Shadows 2,0,-4

Midtones 2,0,-4

Highlights 5,0,-8

There you have it. Ask me about anything as I will always share with my fellow Photo.neters.

What can I add? Everything fits here. Great composition, beautiful sky and these monuments are truly magnificent. I also like the curved road that leads me into the photograph.

Fantastic balanced composition, Leo. The road is the perfect lead-in. Dramatic sky and excellent details make it pop. Superb B&W. A 7/7 anon. Cheers! Chris

Wonderful tonal range. Road and distant peaks provide great depth. Very well composed and executed.
