henrimanguy 0 Posted August 17, 2007 The castle can be seen on the hill in the distance. The house and the shed are not parts of it. Thank you for your comments and ratings. Link to comment

whinterberger 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Great light , Henri , lovely colours and very sharp [ ;-) ]. I'm undecided about the foreground . I can see two other versions. Version A) Crop out the lower weeds on the left altogether ( there aren't enough of them ) and run the lower edge just under the darker grass on the right, clone out the two weeds on the right. And version B) Lower the camera and include MUCH more of the weeds to create more depth. I am just thinking out aloud , Henri , don't mind me ... It is a fine shot :-) BTW , the little air current amongst the clouds is interesting. Best wishes. Link to comment
fhmillard 0 Posted August 23, 2007 I like the sky here. The lighting differences between foreground and sky at top right and building on right produce a near surreal effect. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Thank you all for your ratings and kind comments.Walter, I have another version with more sky and less meadow which is as above. What do you think of it ? Link to comment
whinterberger 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Yes , of course the light isn't quite as great . On balance , I still prefer the original . I just felt the expanse of meadow was too big and the weeds were neither here nor there , but I do like the balance of the composition more on your second version. This is what I had in mind , but I am frequently wrong . :o) Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Thank you Walter. I agree to your version. In the second version I have posted I haven't done any treatment of balance on levels and colours. It was only for show you the difference of frame. Link to comment
treeffe 0 Posted August 26, 2007 I like the vibrant colours of this posting and the composition of your second one. Great work! Link to comment
