Pierre Dumas 258 Posted August 17, 2007 I'm ceasing my activities on the Photo.net, but I feel obliged to the expectations of my dear fellow member, the respectable Mme Micki Ferguson, therefore with this image I'm accomplishing the theme-project global WARNING! PDE Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Excellent! You did it again. Great colours, and composition. Best regards, Torfinn. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Wait just a damn minute, Pierre - Why the heck are you leaving PN? What the $#@&%$! You can't leave; PN needs your talent, your wit, your active participation, your critiques - and frankly, what would this place be without the 'Mad Macedonian Marshall?' E-mail me, and tell me what the heck is going on. The Caliph has spoken! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted August 17, 2007 I say the same. Do not leave! This picture is very astonishing, interesting and beautiful. I don't know what you have exprim here but it is not necessary to appreciate this work. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 17, 2007 We don't need to lose any more creative visions around here, too many of my favorite photographers have already left or simply don't post their work anymore. As in so much of the world, small minds seem to be pulling all the levers and driving the machine in directions I have no interest in going. I have to admit that I, too, have considered leaving many times but there are a few artists I don't want to lose touch with even though the overall quality of P.net has certainly declined in my opinion. I will miss your always stimulating and creative work and your roaring, bigger than life personality. I hope we will have an opportunity to see your beautiful work in the future. Thank you and best regards, Jack Link to comment

rconey 292 Posted August 18, 2007 History always will haunt the present. You choose. No one else. No one makes you go (well, rarely people are actually tossed off...)Is this a good choice? What is gained? What is lost?May the world treat you gently, my friend.Regards to your art and probably to you (we don't know each other, only our art).R Coney Link to comment
thadley 14 Posted August 18, 2007 Wishing you all the best in whatever you do - I have certainly appreciated your images and art - if not one and the same thing. I also left PN towards the end of May - I called it a sabbatical but I am back. My time off was refreshing and it was a time for reflection. PN is a little world - much like the world we live in with all of its imperfections - people, places and platitudes. A world that can be improved but sometimes we lose faith that it will be improved in our lifetime. My prime mission at PN is to share, learn from others and be inspired by the wonderful images produced by people with talent which far exceeds mine. And thus far, those objectives are being satisfied. My hope is that you will take some time off from PN, refresh, reflect and rejoin when you are ready. All the best, Link to comment

sully 0 Posted August 18, 2007 Pierre, I will be sad to see you leave. I greatly enjoyed your comments on my photos. I love your wit and the passion you put into your photography/critiques. I always looked forward to seeing your posts. You have such great creativity. You make PN a great place to be. Go and enjoy life if PN no longer brings you happiness. I wish you well my friend. -Mike Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted August 18, 2007 Good Grief Pierre, I didn't even realize you were part of PN. You seemed far too regular a guy for that. But I won't get personal by questioning how regular you are! Before you leave, tell the Big Guy that they need to finish whatever they are doing and start making some of the user enhancements that have been on hold since I joined two years ago. Thanks for your useful critiques that were so helpful and delivered in a warm, fuzzy manner. Best of luck at your next stop along the way. GungaJim Link to comment
