rbanfield 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Leo, love the tones in this one. The black at the top of the stairways makes me wonder what hiding up there? I can tell you are having a ball on PN. Your photos taken with the 4x5 are just fantastic!...RAY Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Beautiful work, Leo. Good details, and I like how you've largely filled the frame with the front facade. Reminds me of an old western movie set. Nice work. A 6/6 anon. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted August 17, 2007 There was a Kodak paper a long time ago called "Ektalure." It was very popular with photographers for it's warm brown tones. I found a Photoshop color adjustment that produces that same color. Thanks for your comments. Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted August 18, 2007 Thank you all for your kind comments. For those of you who want the recipe for the Ektalure Cream look: Convert to RGB mode and then 8 bit and then add a Color Balance Adjustment layer with the following settings: Shadows 2,0,-4 Midtones 2,0,-4 Highlights 5,0,-8 There you have it. Ask me about anything as I will always share with my fellow Photo.neters. Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted August 18, 2007 I remember that paper from when I was a kid (my first run in with photography)Sometimes I miss dark rooms even after 40 years since I have been in one. Remember toners that smelled like bananas?Sorry I gave up photography back in the 60's. But I'm sure glad I'm back now!!!RAY Link to comment
ronald_capasso 0 Posted August 23, 2007 It's my understanding every photographer in California is required by law to visit Bodie... you've done an excellent job with your assignment! Keep it straight and don't shoot less than f8, Ron Link to comment
