Sunset on the Water

Lovely sunset, but whats with the polka dots in the shadows? Lens flare? Didnt notice any in your other portfolio shots....

My thoughts on this image are - Wow! Excellent. Had to look closely for the 'polka dots' - can also see them. Rgds Carole

Polka dots? If you mean the whitish spots at the base of the distant land mass, those are headlights. I guess I should have cloned them out.

Hi again, no the spots I am seeing are not the headlights,they are like an out of focus circle of light or bokeh some immediatly above the headlights,some on the rocks in the foreground,even close to the horizon on the water. Its not on my glasses, I just cleaned them, and its not on my monitor, its a mystery..

I embarrassed that I hadn't noticed them sooner. That's what happens when I process my images at 2am! After some investigation, I found that they started, in the exact same place on the frame, a few shots before this one and every shot after. The wind had been blowing hard - hurricane Flossie was near - and there was sea spray all over my CPF that I hadn't noticed. Oh well. Thanks for letting me know.

I usually find problems the next day when I process photos and drink wine at the same time :)
