Liz, with that sky, and the light, it looks like there was one heck of a storm moving in. Am I right? The light and colors are fabulous. Wonderful reflection too. Nice job! Cheers! Chris

hello liz, i was quite intrigued by the brightness and contrast of this image. so the thumbnail definitely drew me in. i'd like to know a little more about your white balance settings and what kind of metering you might have used here. the colour of the background sky is very dark and it is refrected in the lake water. how is the golf course so beautifully illuminated?

i don't dislike your picture. i find it interesting but also a little puzzling for the above reasons.

compositionally, i would like to have seen a little more on the left and rather less on the right. the shadows from those tress have been cropped off on the left a little abruptly for my taste.

Chris, Puck and Jose, many thanks for your nice comments. This is another shot I got when there was a storm coming in, and the sky was a wild color. I am not a sophisticated photographer - still very new to all this - and I have no equipment except my Canon S3IS, and a basic editing program. I know I got some noise in this shot, and I did cut off the left side some because there was a large white post there that just "stuck out". Again, many thanks to you all. Liz

Liz, thanks for your comments on my pictures tonight. You have a fine portfolio and I shall look forward to returning to it. I envy the number of comments you elicit. I can see you like detail and are careful with handling it. Nice work. - Roy

I was scrolling through your portfolio, and this jumped right out at me..wow, I love the deep saturation of colors in the golf course and trees..but the sky behind it is awesome! Great work with this photo.

Many thanks for taking a trip backwards to my images, Maurizio. It's so funny to me to see how far I've gone with photography.
