thadley 15 Posted September 24, 2007 The angle, hair movement, powder blue sky, lighting and the skill of the photographer all come together to make a fine image. Congrats. Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted September 24, 2007 Thank you for your kind words and ratings. It's always good to have feedback and, in the case of this particular photo, positive reinforcement. Each of you has an obvious gift for photography. I appreciate your taking time to put into words what makes the photo work and hopefully can use this knowledge to repeat the experience. muszkiet damian 0 Posted September 30, 2007 Once, somebody told me that it's not good to catch people faces from downside, but here it works pretty good. I adore it for it's dynamic form; her hair makes some kind of a hmm...I can't find word...all in all amazing portrait of her, really nice shot! Greetings from Damian 8-) Link to comment

alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted October 18, 2007 Thanks for your comment - yes, it's those genes. Her mother is just as beautiful. I'm not sure about your comment to Damian - is that English? :) Link to comment
frits_nieuwenburg 0 Posted October 18, 2007 Nope, (it is now) it's southern redneck... never mind.. I was refering to the shot from below ;-) I would have cut the portrait like this.. (with your permission ofcause, he spoke humbled) Link to comment

alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted October 26, 2007 Thanks for your comment. Frits had the same suggestion (see his attached crop.) I agree - much improved. Thanks, Frits. Cheers Link to comment
frits_nieuwenburg 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Ohw.. now I get it.. (takes some days to sinck in ya know) My response to Damien was refering to the fact he had heard that one never shoots a "subject" from below. But that's my favoutite position (ahem). Probably just because they sayed you should not. But it works great. Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted October 31, 2007 A little slow, but glad you got there :) My philosophy is that rules are meant to be broken (as long as no one gets hurt) and that one should shoot a subject however one wants to, having looked into the viewfinder and saying to oneself "YES - this is IT!" Cheers - Link to comment
frits_nieuwenburg 0 Posted November 14, 2007 Yep... "slow" is sometimes my middle name.Just realized I just love the: "(as long as no one gets hurt)" remark. ;-) Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted February 6, 2010 I love the from below angle. Warm regards. Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 16, 2010 Kids rule! Great shot, pretty girl. Thanks for your visit and for having an open mind to "breaking the rules." That's what they're there for :) Alberta Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted May 29, 2011 I think this is really a great shot because it's unconventional; I agree rules are made to be broken sometimes (and often times when it comes to photography). I love the angle and how you have captured her hair blowing into all that blue sky. Lovely image! We learn by pushing the boundaries and experimenting. Thank you for sharing (and breaking the rules)! :) Link to comment
