I am at Tzadik Festival in Poznan. Concerts take place in old

synagogue building. In 1942 Germans made a swimming pool there, which

exists here until today. There are plans to make it a dialogue center.

Now there is great klezmer music festival with Tzadik artists. Amazing

visual experience - as you can see.

Magnificent, great capture of the mood, makes me regret not to have been there. My student budget however would not allow any cultural experiences of this calibre anyway...regards, Lennart

I feel sad now that I know the history behind this place. I understand the idea of filling it with tzadik-type music or at least I imagine it is a reclaiming of sorts, but in my eyes, the pool is an eyesore. The blue colors are great and so are the glass brick windows and spotlights, but I can't dismiss the water, which is the focal point of this shot. Instead of the usual association with purity, I get more of a drowning feel here. Where are all the people who were there before? Where is the Torah? Where is the shofar blowing for repentance? It's all gone.

Pawel, the blue is so intensive that it catches the eye, but reading the story is much less appealing. bizarre to see a concert where there is water instead of people seating in front of the stage. You really did a good job photographing and telling the story/history. How was the concert though?
