Thanks. I worked on them to get a magical dream-like feeling. I think some of the effect is lost on the smaller version.

It definitely has a surreal look to it, Dan. It almost looks like it's mounted on a lightbox. Interesting shot. The sky is very dynamic and the tree is so solid and solitary...nice contrast.

Leslie, as you know, I usually put my photos in a frame with a white border, but with this one, I tried this black border and it reminded me of when I would put my old medium format color slides on a light table. Maybe out of nostalgia it worked for me.

As an aside, my inspiration for this photo was the paintings of Ross Penhall, which I really love. I wasn't driven by any particular painting, but I was hoping to capture some of the wonderful, dream-like and slightly cartoonish feeling present in his work.

Perfect colors and magic mood !

I am usually not a fan of oversaturated, heavily colour manipulated images, however this is a truly magical composition and the colours are integral to the concept, rather than merely someone attempting to punch up their photo. I agree with other comments here, you have created and inner glow with this image which leaves me feeling that I am viewing it on a light table. Very fine work indeed. Congrats !

This is a beautiful shot and as everyone has pointed out the colors are incredible. I also really like the smoothness of the grass in contrast to the puffiness of the clouds. The red tree just seals the deal. Well, congrats on another excellent shot! Katherine
