Taken in the morning, before the spot and the river is invaded by thousands of canoes. The village in the distance, with its castle on the top of the cliff, is Beynac. I will show you some photos of it in the comming days. Thank you for your comments and ratings.

A very good shot. Great colours, composition, reflections, and the bridge makes a nice frame. Best regards, Torfinn

Nice composition, good use of the bridge to frame the scene. I hope you had a nice trip, it is a beautiful area!

Henri, My favourite of your three current similar posts. The object of interest here is the boat with the bridge and surrounding green foliage acting as it's frame. Deep rich colours are a plus; rich blues & greens always being a winning combination. Your other shots are fine also but this is the one which would grace my wall if I were given a choice. Fine work! Best, LM.

Henri, I prefer this one of your similar shots. I like part of the bridge serving as a frame and also the composition inside the frame - the lines of the green gras dividing this picture in two zones with two different dominanting subjectes:castle and boat. regards, maria P.S. Beautiful part of France, indeed.

Thank you very much to all for your nice comments and your ratings. Yes, I had a nice trip, and never have taken so much photos during three weeks. In truth, really too much... I am rather happy with my new D80, except with some little problems like the duration of the battery, and a certain tendancy to burn the high lights.

Very effective composition. I especially like the framing and the subtle transition of light on the brick arch as it descend into the water. Very well done. Congrats, rek.
