lbattjes 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Congratulations, Jayme! I'm very happy for you and your family. We just welcomed a nephew on Tuesday afternoon...too bad he's all the way across the country...sure would love to snuggle him like I'm sure you're doing with this little guy! :) Leslie Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted August 10, 2007 A lovely image, of a new little person to the planet. You must give me your secrete for creating grandchildren, no actually you should give it to our 5 children. My wife and I are both more than ready. All the best.......roger Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted August 10, 2007 Thanks all. Taking pictures in the hospital is always less than perfect. The lighting always sucks, everyone always comes at the same time, etc. I should know, I was a nurse for over 25 years :) Plus, everyone wants to hold the baby, including me! I felt bad, poor Rocco is almost 3 months old & I'm just getting around to processing the hospital images. He's such a doll. The best baby, smiles & laughs all the time. I would be telling a lie if I said I wasn't a little disappointed he wasn't a girl, but then if he had been a girl, he'd have been so spoiled, it probably would have ruined him for life! :) I love my boys! Growing up with 2 older brothers, I was a big time "tomboy". I swore I could do anything they could do.....better! :) And usually did! I was relentless. Needless to say, I have the battle scares to prove it! One good thing, when my boys get a little older, I'll get to share all my power tools with them :) I have lots of power tools! Table saw, Routers, drills, blowers, my own workbench, etc. The standard Xmas gift for me. I was looking forward to having a little girl who felt the same :) I guess I will have to wait for all my boys, to have all my girls :) As I always say, "Girls rule, boys drool!" Our oldest grandson, Jake (9), loves to debate this point :) I love to tease him. I always tell him he's my "favorite" 9 year old grandson :) He rolls his eyes and says, "Nana, I'm your only 9 year old grandson!" We laugh! Then I say, "Gee, for a boy, you're really smart too!" Then he tells me for a Nana, I'm pretty weird! :) I love to remind him of the time when he was about 9 months old, his mother (our daughter) & I dressed him up in a little pink dress, just because we decided he was way to pretty to be a boy. He screamed & cried. Even at 9 months, I think he knew "pink" might not be his favorite color :) So.."Boys, boys everywhere", that's my mantra :) Where have all the girls gone? I think Vicki Passimore is hoarding them all :) My husband is loving every second of this! This makes me smile :) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 13, 2007 Cute shot, Jayme - love it! Just found I'm going to be a Grandma again, too, next March. Four sons, three grandsons, so we're keeping it blue! I figure another grandson would work, so four & four. Link to comment
