Life Cycle of a Monarch

Last Sunday Danny & I went to Lowes to get some driveway sealer, I

can't go to Lowes without going though the garden store. While in

the garden store I notices some Monarch Caterpillars on a butterfly

weed plant (a form of Milkweed) so I bought the plant with the Cats

and put in the atrium.

 

Day 1 the cat's ate the whole damn plant.

Day 2 when back to Lowes and bought 2 more plants

Day 3 Morning one missing, found him hanging upside down on the

wainscot molding

Day 3 afternoon formed into a chrysalis

Day 4 the chrysalis looks more like plastic

Day 5 through 9 no change

Day 10 the Butterfly emerged.

 

It was neat being able to Photograph this sequence!
