Thanks for the kind words regarding my image, Les. And yes, the one thing about my name is, hardly anyone ever forgets it ... but that's not necessarily a good thing!

David, this is beautiful. May I ask if you used a tripod?

Hi, Hasan. Thanks for the comments. I use a tripod for every shot I make. (I was never good at hand-holding a camera anyway, I shake too much!) I don't mind lugging a big tripod around, I've been doing it for so long it's a part of me now. :)

It is lovely, I bought the same lens, it did not match the quality of my 70-200 f/4 IS L USM or 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM lenses,, so I sold it! But you did an excellent work here.

Hi, Hasan. I'm really surprised that you found the 100mm macro not as good as the zoom lenses. I have the 70-200 f2.8L and the 24-70 f2.8L and yes, they are both execptionally sharp. But neither one can *quite* match my macro. Being a prime I find it just an edge better in sharpness and resolution. But really, the Canon L zooms are amazing in their own right. -David
