sdjanus 0 Posted August 5, 2007 Well, it's difficult to say that there is something really bad, because, for what I can see, the subject is not the best, nor is the environment. However, having seen some machinery shots, I can say that a more creative framing could have been done, squeezing a more interesting picture. For example, a wide angle (less than a 35mm... consider a 24mm or a 21mm), framed from the bottom of the "wheels" (I don't know the exact word in english for those things that are in place of wheels, sorry really), could have delivered a more interesting perspective. Another thing is that, as I see it, in a calibrated monitor, the picture is a little over exposed. All detail in the pavemens and ground surrounding the tractor has been lost, and the roof of the house on the back is preety blown up. There could be a little more saturation, and a little more contrast (in colour, I'm used to Velvia kind of look, with rich and saturated colours). Perhaps a little time with PS, Gimp, Paint.net or any image editing software that allows you to work with colours can fix this last point. Otherwise, it is a nice picture of an old tractor. The main problem, I think, is that is is that, and just that! With best regards, and I hope this helps! Sebastian. Link to comment
