ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted August 4, 2007 Lovely feminine pose. The soft diffused glow really enhances it Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 4, 2007 I am not sure about the hot spots on the leg. I also feel I would like to see a little more space above her head. Really though! Quite fantastic. I hate using the word lovely... but this is a lovely image! Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted August 4, 2007 I am prejudiced towards the wildflowers in the foreground so probably included more of them than I should have. I did tame down the hot spots, they were brighter. Thanks David. Link to comment

allan kirby 0 Posted August 5, 2007 I have now seen Elizabeth photographed by a number of photographers but none have conveyed the innocence and softness as you have. Nice job. Link to comment
httpwww.photo.netphoto1664881442 0 Posted August 5, 2007 Hi Karen, like most of us I come equipped with a set of tastes that mean that various topics or thematic approaches either really 'light me up' - or the reverse. What makes this shot unusual for me is that it belongs in an arbitrary thematic category I have that tends to mean I don't look twice. As back-handed as the compliment may seem, your shot has intrigued me sufficiently to force me to pause long enough to consider what it is about this picture that seperates it from others which connect depictions of the 'feminine' to the natural world. It is technically well executed (those hotspots don't look like you could have done much more with them), but i think it's the clever framing, pose (and its suitability for your model), generous but not overcooked colour rendition, and perhaps the way you've resisted the urge to overwork the 'romance'. It's a credit to your skill, congratulations. Link to comment
enriquehenny 0 Posted August 5, 2007 Beautiful photo. Glamorous colors. The soft atmosphere is very well depicted. I have a problem with the right arm that is out of the picture: it makes me a little unhappy. Thank you for your work. Link to comment
dirkschelpe 0 Posted August 6, 2007 wonderful disharmony of colour, the softness is a plus Link to comment
kerryharrison 0 Posted August 6, 2007 She looks like a Pre-Raphealite painting. Lovely! Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted August 6, 2007 Well now, you've got a spectacular job here from your model, and the flowers work beautifully. I would have totally removed the hot spots on her leg, but otherwise, it's wonderful. Link to comment
bodyline 0 Posted August 6, 2007 A nice romantic feel to this image, the tones suiting the overall feel. I would like to see more space above the model Link to comment
dasharv 0 Posted January 6, 2008 Beautiful, Karen! I love the colors and lighting! Very romantic and tender shot! Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Very good job on this one Karen. It does remind me of a Dante Gabriel Rossetti painting. Which is a very good thing. This is the type of work I would like to do with models myself. Very romanic and moving. I have not been doing much in the way of photography lately, we have not been out on our boat this year. Plus I am a bit burned out on it at the moment. Thanks again for your comments on my work. All the best. Link to comment
