Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted August 6, 2007 As usual, your work is a feast for the eyes. The complexity of this composition lends itself to a variety of interpretations. There is, of course, pure, unrequited love, but beneath that, jealousy and frustration, so that the work is a perfect metaphor for that zone that exists in the boundary of deep love and obsession, sort of like our affair with the camera. Everytime we think we are finally done with the stupid contraption, ready to chug it into the nearest canal, we would catch that lovely sunset, and in our euphoria, drag the unwilling machine out, groveling at its feet and asking "You REALLY love me, and only me, don't you? You don't REALLY have any feelings for Rakesh Syal, Richard Hans, Jan Piller, Biswajit, and all those other guys, do you? They were just one night stands, weren't they? Talk to me! Talk to me!!" jeffl7 0 Posted August 8, 2007 Now, how could any comment top Emmanuel's. He's written a whole novella to accompany this shot. I like how no one is really focused on anyone. There's the new love, the old love, and the cigarette being shared, perhaps suggesting kindling passion. The old love is real, but her gaze has fallen and no longer captures interest. The new love is plastic, dressed in the same strand of pearls. Much to look at.... Link to comment

paullink 1 Posted August 9, 2007 Hi Michael.Well, humor also is part of the art of photography you may add this quest in your biography resume. And this photo has a lot of it, starting from the title.Difficult conditions light falling sideways, the doll is well exposed the man a little under. But who cares, comparing to the moment you captured.Regards Link to comment

j.k._york 0 Posted August 9, 2007 good to see dolly back in action and flirting as usual. i like the merge between the real and the unreal female figure. as you would say, good synthesis. the angle of the cut off face is interesting as she is able to look back at herself in her decapitated situation. well done my friend. alibek 0 Posted August 13, 2007 ...after pragmatic pondering and looking at her, there's inevitably some decision made. This scenery yells with madness yet the main character shall never show it up. It just leaks, and the flash you used adds to the tension in this image. There're so many symbolisms, as seen in your expressive aid in the right bottom corner... after reading Emmanuel's comment, I had the next tought: ..."I shall evaluate. I get. I feel. I taste. You. And it all has nothing to do with who you are. I am blind (get, mine...)". Love is blind... just like any lust, is it? Or maybe no? Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
