I have just been told that this is NOT a Thistle, but beolongs to the family of "Dipsacus Silvestris" in English called a "TEASEL"...so there, now we are all a lot smarter....Bert

Bug shots are hard to make original, I think.. and man.. this is original. I hate bugs, lol... but this guy... almost looks cute. The details are outstanding, love the composition.

Actually, I believe the National Flower of Scottland is the Thistle...and this, as I discovered later is not a Thistle, but a TEASEL..(Dipsacus Silvestris)
