mpitak 0 Posted August 3, 2007 I like it!!!Not only colors but also this wired perspective. It catches eye. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 4, 2007 I know it is your style, Yinka, but at some point I'd really like to see some of your work, out of the camera, that wasn't heavily manipulated. I do give you credit for your consistency and your dedication to your style. It is, after all, your image, your art - and cheers to that! Chris Link to comment
yinkamd 0 Posted August 4, 2007 I am not sure what you mean by "heavily manipulated". In this case, all I did was mild curves. The sky is dark due to a polarizer. There is no increase in saturation. So, I am not at all sure what you mean. Yinka Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 4, 2007 Okay, Yinka, I stand corrected. It must be the strong polarization in this case. I have, on numerous occasions, visited your portfolio; and that is probably where the bulk of my comment came from. As I said, I admire and respect your style and your consistency towards it. I hope you understand that no offense was intended; it was simply my observation, not meant in any pejorative sense. From your photographs I can tell that you and your family had a wonderful time in Canada and Banff NP. Cheers, my friend! Chris Link to comment
yinkamd 0 Posted August 4, 2007 Dear Chris No offense was taken. I value your comments and critiques. I do accept that several of my photos have saturation boosts and curves/levels. In Canada, most of my photos, especially most of the lake ones, were essentially untouched apart from levels/curves. Only rarely did I boost saturation. The skies were just so beautiful, so blue. The reflections were perfect in the still transparent lakes. It must be the most beautiful part of the world. By the way, I loved your portfolio Thanks! Yinka Link to comment
