Who says Big Oil does not believe in recycling? Now, this is what I call finding an alternate use for a gas station. Think if all the gas stations were converted to coffe houses where pnetters can all gather, discuss images, and, well, smell the coffee? Nah, too subversive.

Alternate use? Hell no! They are just opening a new station for pygmies. Leave no stone unturned.

Yeah. The old service station is behind me, and apparently they were either renovating or removing the station. So they lifted this part off whole and set it down to the side. I just drove right under, and had instant shade, but no gas.

You've taken some great shots on the trip and this rates right up there with the best of them. The magic is in the perfect balance you've achieved in your composition. I love the way the corner of the roof projects right out at us, set against the clear blue sky and the gently rolling grassland the recedes into the distance. Lately you've really been putting on a master class for us.

Thanks. I can't take too much credit. I was so fortunate to be able to take off for 8 weeks and roam anywhere I felt like going. Six thousand miles later, I'd better have an image or two that is worthwhile. The real trick is to pull them out of your everyday surroundings as you do.
