Your generosity of comments and ratings is truly appreciated.

This was taken a couple of years ago with 'old technlogy' Velvia slide film, a manual Nikon FM2 and a tripod. It was a sunrise and it had to be without wind for me to get this mirror reflection. I have journeyed back to this spot on many occasions at approximately the same time in the morning and have never seen this reflection like that again. Back to PN much later tonight.

SUPERB! One of your finest shots Tony! The clouds, the reflection, the colours, all the elements are there for a winner!

One little nit (sorry to break the mood :-D): the shrubs at the bottom are a bit distracting, but I am assuming that getting the full reflection from your pov would not have been possible without those darn things...).

Comments are always appreciated and even the nit pic because without them I would think that the photo needs no improvement. When setting up to make this image, I made a conscious decision to include those shrubs to provide a bit of visual relief from the perfect symmetry - it also alays any doubts that this was a photoshop mirror effect. If I had to do it again I would try and change my angle so that the middle shrub does not 'touch' the mountain peak reflection.

Thanks again for the comment.

Stunning scene, crystal clear. Whether the result of a tripod or sheer nerves of steel, the detail is phenomenal.

It is similar to one I posted (still up on the site) a little while back but this one is different. Thanks for your comments and ratings.

I am happy that you really like this one - both comments and ratings are appreciated. This image breaks the rule of thirds but with the symmetry that I wanted to portray, I had to go 50:50. This image was taken early in the morning - a little later than sunrise.

The intensity of colors and clarity are outstanding. Beautiful symmetry and reflection. Bravo!

Hello Tony

Gorgeous reflection - first of all.

I wish those little bushes were gone (I read your previous explaination but it's just my personal feeling about it). One Thing I would like to see is a bit more of a left side. Right now - as you can see - you have that big mountain almost in the centre of your frame. The vertical 50/50 proportion looks fine here, but the same scenario in horizontal axis is a bit too static to me. Beside that, very nice photo Tony

Cheers, Piotr

Thats a beautiful shot, the conditions must have been absolutely perfect to get such a clear reflection. The water is like glass. Regards, Dave.
