joe-tury 0 Posted July 29, 2007 ha! Nice title. Pretty good. I think it could be a little sharper around the edges. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted July 29, 2007 Thanks for the comment - I agree re sharper around the edges - should have used a smaller aperture. I am still learning to use my new Macro lens and I know that I still have a ways to go. I have a new respect for bee images on Cone flowers - tried really hard at that today but nothing worth showing here. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Great photo! I wonder if sharpening around the edges would detract from the smile. I think the blur actually directs the focus onto the main element. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Don't even get me started on getting use to the macro. Mine is about 5 months old and I still am getting use to it. Its not just point and shoot with these is it? They are a lot of fun though. I forgot to mention that I liked the horizontal looking display here also. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted July 29, 2007 I see you share my sense of humor. Thanks for the comment. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted July 29, 2007 I am going to have to read a bit more about macro photography if i am going to get better. The weather right now is just too perfect for me to be on the computer. Taking my 21 speed mountain bike out and going riding. Back much later tonight. Best regards. Link to comment

hy 0 Posted July 30, 2007 Perfect shot, Tony. Sharpness, colors and light are great. It has a 3D effect. A smile from me in return. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted August 1, 2007 Your generous ratings and comments are really appreciated. I was not sure how people would react to this simple photo of something unusual as far as Cone flowers go. I really had to look hard to find something different to present to folks at PN and had almost given up when I spotted it. Have a smile since they say laughter is good medicine. Link to comment
skyjammer 0 Posted August 2, 2007 I just acquired a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 macro lens, and will attempt to use it this weekend. This is a original. A splendid composition. The green color theme is pretty fresh looking. Nice work here. I would blow this up in a 20 x 30 , and hang this up on the wall, just for the laughs it would generate. :-) Regards, -Ade Link to comment
