Funtak 0 Posted July 28, 2007 There is no perfect portrait without connection between the subject and artist. Everything is in her eyes!!Bravo, Maestro. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted July 28, 2007 Colorful portrait,Alec.Very good exposure, light and tone. So many metal rings around her long neck is a sure sign of a Beauty Queen:-) Can they remove these rings? Excellent device to treat spondilitis. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted July 30, 2007 Alec, A classically posed head shot with excellent soft but directional lighting for revealing the shapes and textures of her face. Perfect exposure with requisit catchlights in the eyes. Beautifully out of focus & thus undistracting background. Doesn't come much better than this. Do you ever provide your subjects with copies of your best efforts? Bet they'd be welcomed.......anywhere. Best, LM. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted July 31, 2007 Oh my, I had no idea that this was still being practiced. Your image is great, but I'm saddened by the culture that deems this to be a form of beauty. The world is still a strange place. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 31, 2007 Thanks for the kind comments guys. Hi Shawn, I don't think the PN members here are commenting on the culture and their practice. Look at it from a photographer's technical and artistic point of view. The lighting, the DOF and the uncluttered BG. Link to comment
aq63 0 Posted July 31, 2007 Interestig pic like document, perfection resolution of composition. isn't a natural situation, but it is their culture. Regards. RN Link to comment
