ricklundh 0 Posted July 26, 2007 taken from inside a glacial ice cavern a couple of days ago. The colored ice is a result of algae in the ice. Comments? Link to comment

daverave 1 Posted July 30, 2007 Remarkable photograph, like one of those ink-blot test abstracts. A real eyecatcher with difficult lighting conditions. Good use of an overcast day. I used to see structures like this frequently in the Sierra Nevada but rarely these days. I miss them.... Link to comment
michael anderson 0 Posted August 6, 2007 Rick, Fantastic image and a very unique vision. The reds really set this apart. I love both versions of this that I've seen but prefer the vertical comp if I had to choose one. This is super cool! Link to comment
evanroboldphotography 0 Posted March 20, 2008 Wow. This shot is absolutely amazing. This is the kind of natural beauty most nature photographers can only dream of, and you have captured it beautifully. Congratulations. Link to comment
t_elena 0 Posted March 20, 2008 Incredible photo! I like the separation between the cavern world and the real world (outside). Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted March 21, 2008 Thanks for the comments folks. This was truly an amazing discovery for me. I was hiking up around Mt Rainier in Washington. I gasped when I saw this and feared I wouldnt be able to capture what I experienced. Link to comment
