Fela

Fela lives in a remot village in Montenegro. 1000 m upper sea level. This village is known by its special climate, and produces special cheese and smoked meat.. Stroling at the village she invited me to enter her balcony.No commom language just hand "talking"....

One of the beautiful things about a camera is its ability to replace spoken language. Like you, I have traveled to many places, and find that the same things connect us all. Nice shot, Pnina.

She is not as "heavy" as the two red buckets.So the pole (needle) is at the right place for a perfectly balanced composition.

Nice colours and balanced composition (as Daily already stated :)).

I love the sun bleached wall and splashes of color. The area on the left gives a feeling of continuation of balconies, balancing everything. It looks like a she's comfortable in her place, but there's something about it or her that's not so inviting for me. BTW---read your message.

Sometimes common language is not imp, a friendly gestures, a warm smile is enough communication. A very well balanced composition that reflects the typical life of this remote place.

It does captures the atmosphere of the place, Pnina. Very good street shot, and she has a friendly expression.

Thanks all of you, even we could not talk, she was a very nice human being. her surrounding so poor and still it is her living condition that attracted my attention.

This photo, like your experience, pulled me in. Such a nicely balanced, interesting composition. The scene has so much character, not to mention that extra chair that is begging for a conversational companion.

Jeff and Alberto, thanks, I think that this image is one of my favorites from that visit in Montenegro, as it is really a slice of real life in that remot area.

what I like about this is the messiness of the surroundings with the smile on the woman's face. No matter where you live, it is always a joy to sit out on a porch or balcony and view the world, to say hello to the people passing by.
