mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 26, 2007 I wasn't sure where to put this picture. I wasn't sure what to title it either. I see the title made people back off a bit on the ratings. hmmm Thanks Ger for understanding the mood :) Link to comment
hy 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Micki, I do like the way you composed this scene. But I don't like the colorkey. It doesn't quite fit with the title and the pondering person. Here, it kind of distract from the main subject. I hope, you don't "slay" me for that :) Best regards Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 26, 2007 I think I made it more for her and for persnoal reasons. The flowers represent more of a new beginning for her. Because of what she has gone through. Probably if this were all black and white it would have gone over much better but because of how much the last few months have been I felt a little bit of color was perfect for this shot. Hmmm I must try it in all black and white. :) ~ no slaying today :) I posted the other picture, so you could see it. :) Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted July 26, 2007 She's a beautiful girl - the flowers perhaps echo the beauty she has within. If she is strong as you say then she will survive. The flowers are a hint of "New Life" for her. I like that you kept the flowers in colour. The composition seems a bit cluttered though. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 26, 2007 Then I sat and looked at it and thought and ponered myself. I have many that I took over the course of a conversation. If you look the flowers are "almost" in focus. The focal point is right in front of me but yet there is no focus which means she has not yet gotten focused. Her divorce was final on Tuesday. The flowers we brought with us on our visit. She is talking with my mom on the couch. I did post the other picture in color which shows her kids in the picture. She will be leaving the house in about two weeks to her new adventure in her brand new house that is being built. In some ways I wish it was crystal clear and in some ways I am glad it is just as it is. Link to comment
