someoneelse 1 Posted July 24, 2007 Thanks for looking and comments are very welcome, I hope you take a good look before you rate... it is handhold, clearyfied, cropped and some contrast ---with love Els Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 24, 2007 and here the original, so perhaps we can learn something, about quick ratings, just without looking --Els Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted July 24, 2007 Els, my dear, you have wonderful vision! Now if only those were crows, this would be perfect! I believe the superstition is that if you hear a crow caw outside your window, someone is going to die soon. So, that would work well with the END and that beautiful and tumultuous looking sky. Excellent crop and PS work! Les Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 24, 2007 Love your blue end-ing Sweet Elfy :) Kisses, Biliana Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 24, 2007 Thanks Les, yess I wish, but I already thought I was lucky, to have 3 birds sitting there, and to PS it in 3 craws is not the intention, because I did not change a lot as you can seeThanks Les, your comments are always much apreciated (and the original complete sign says hoeksterend, it is a parking garage here in Leeuwarden) Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 24, 2007 Dear B;l;ana, yessssssssssss she calls me Elfy again, good to see you, do love your last posting a lot Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted July 24, 2007 so these birds see something, although sitting at the 'end' - comforting! What does the sign say originally? Weekend? Blend? Friend? ... Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 25, 2007 Gooooooooood to see you here Andrea, those are the letters of hoeksterend >> it is a parking garage here in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, But it would be more then funny to put the letters ISCH behind it, and I think your husband has to change his name into Weekly Pothograph, but PN would not allow that, because they only accept real names, I did try to change my name into someone ELSe, only a little change, but that is imposible, (I asked for it, because I found out that there is/was another member with the same name) --with love Els Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted July 25, 2007 Els, good decision to crop out the building and nice looking sky due to your added contrast. Great vision in seeing this sign. Do not let the bad raters get you down, they are as mindless as they are voiceless and would not notice an artist's work or a good photo if it were wall papered accross their forehead! Your work is in the top echelon of artists I've seen here on PN and you should never let sabatours (sp?) interfere with your passion and creativity. I used to get a bit bothered by it but now, the hell with it, I just do what I like doing; if people comment, I appreciate it. I wish I had more corrective comments so I could learn more but positive is good to when it is said what about the image or feeling is good. I usually just put up for rating so the image can stay visible for longer in hopes of getting commenting to learn something. Kirk Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 25, 2007 My dear Elsi, the word has a symbolism, but two things contradict the meaning! the blue sky and the birds. Free as a Bird! with a great imagination, and composition Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 25, 2007 Kirk, thank you so much for your wel thought comment, it did bring a big smile on my face... (about this wallpaper)and I put it under humor, so I don't take it too serious, but I don't like the anonymous raters, and too lighten up, and trying to make people a little bit more concious what they are doing, because it is for a lot of people frustrating, because what do we learn from a 3/3 without a comment, absolutely nothing, I have been here for a very long time, and have been angry, frustrated, but the most of the time I am learning, by looking more carefully, and I cannot complain ofcourse, because I am doing well, in comments, ratings, attention, and for sure Kirk, we all learn from each other, and I know PN is too big, and too much rules, and too many opinions, but that's normal.... there is always a way, sometimes I go to the forum no words, or start on TRP and push the button previous, so you get the last first>>> also very interesting, or just get lost, looking at interesting comments, I just try to do it my way, I am alergic for rules My dear PN ina, so happy you are back, always a beautifull comment, with a lot of care and passion, it means a lot to me --with love Els Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted July 25, 2007 "I'm alergic of rules", That's a great way to describe a creative free spirit!! Funny. I'm alergic to rules also but for me I think its because I'm stubborn and think that my way is usually the best. Thank you for your observations and comments on Cracked. Yes, I did enjoy making that image. I enjoy making my images in the digital dark room as much as I enjoy taking the picture with the camera; still have a lot to learn about both. Kirk Link to comment

someoneelse 1 Posted July 27, 2007 Thank you so much Richard Hans, love to hear an unique comment Deep blue sky, this must be very connected to you, in name, not the end ofcourse, and don't get sad feelings, there is always a new beginning Dear Amal, thanks for seeing this... it ia sometimes all in what kind of mood we are, we can see it dramatic, but also just simple, 3 birds just resting, waiting to fly into a new direction with love Els Link to comment
guzin 0 Posted July 28, 2007 it worked...:) nice point dear Els.They like 3, maybe they can't count more. At primitive society "first people" count "1.2.3.more"...:) with love :)guzin Link to comment
jefvandenhoute 0 Posted July 29, 2007 I like your humour and the hint to all those 3' raters. But besides that it's in its simplicity a beautifull image with the three birds and the blue sky. So I imagine that despite the 3's sometimes you feel free and happy as a bird in the endless sky. and that's the spirit we all should have Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 31, 2007 Very funny dear Guzin, very funny, I am sitting here with a big smile For sure Jeff, my favorite 'hobby' has always been flying... thankssss for your beautifull comment (I do believe in magic) with love Els Link to comment
