janc 0 Posted July 25, 2007 The view to south of Mediterranean Sea I had from the balcony of a friend apartment. I was so calm that I tried to shot it. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted July 25, 2007 Jose, thanks for your comments. I saw this yesterday, and my first thought followed your own, that it was calming. I wondered, though, would it be calmer still if it were scrinted lighter. The blues are very cool, therefore somewhat heavy. I wonder if you allowed them to be lighter, more airy, more pastel, if that would make the overall feeling a little more relaxing. Who says you have to reproduce, exactly, the scene you photographed? This one actually lends itself to a great range of interpertation in terms of darkness and lightness. Link to comment
mihai suciu 0 Posted July 25, 2007 I really like the way you framed this photograph. The sharpness of the wall and the softness of the horizon give a very unusual yet unique feeling. The simplicity of the lines and the simple tonalities are very effective, too. Well done. Link to comment
janc 0 Posted July 31, 2007 Hi Doug! After your comment I have made a lighter version of this seascape. I did not want to lose the soft reflexion of the wall over the white balcony. Thanks for your comment. Regards. Link to comment
jefvandenhoute 0 Posted August 8, 2007 I ilkr this image. It's photography reduced to its essence: a few shapes, a few colours and the light Link to comment
