hello tim, i love the background. i also like your composition. however, the dog seems just a little underexposed when contrasted to the snow.

I love the low angle on this, makes me feel like I'm right there lying in the snow ( as you no doubt where ). The soft morning light and the silhouetted trees are icing on the cake. I have taken a moment to look through some of your other work and I am in awe of your keen eye. I am certain to be back often to explore further. Regards

Puck, you are correct, just not much I can do about it because I don't mess around with my images much in PS. Gordon, thanks for all of your very nice comments on some of my images. It is very much appreciated when I know that there are viewers out there that can enjoy my take on the world around me. People like you have kept me going here for four years.

Hi Tim, you are most welcome, I just call em the way I see em. I have only been posting images and comments for a week and don't really know yet how people take what I'm working on, other than certain obvious observations. People don't, for the most part, like blurry photos of my dogs and they do, for the most part, like my sharply focused shots of orchids. I've been plugging away out here in the woods in a bit of a vacuum so I'm enjoying getting feed back, good, bad or otherwise.

Regards

because I guess I observe that dogs sleep a lot and can relax in a flicker. As on the fresh snow, without digging a cave. If this photo were separate from the landscape of shriveled trees it would maybe be another pet photo. As pictured there is there is a chill ambience suggesting relaxation and getting into a hibernation mode more of us homo sapiens could enjoy. I gain something from the canines. And I like to watch them sleep and the doggie circling and then cozy curl as they gently goes into dog brain rythm of a nappie. Thanks for taking the time to make this shot. I like it.

Gerry, I know what you mean, my blood pressure drops when I watch a sleeping dog. Do you remember what snow looks like?
