Interesting as a travel photo. The background is very formally symmetrical while the foreground is not. To me that represents a clash in intent.

I kind of like the people in the foreground, or the idea of having people in the foreground. Otherwise, the image would be sterile, just a documentation of the structure. You might buy another plane ticket and go back and try to play with getting different people into the foreground; there could be some interesting interplays between the foreground and the background to be had there.

 

I also see that this was an exposure challenge; it looks like the building is a bit burned out, while there is noise on the people in the foreground. You could always try to use fill-flash while pretending to be invisible.

 

After all that work, you could treat yourself to an ice cream from one of the many stands I recall as being in this park.

Barry; Thanx for your comments. I have a hunch that if I took the same shot today, I'd get better results. I have gone from a D200 to a D300, which whould provide better exposure range.
