djohnson1 0 Posted July 26, 2007 beautiful!! you did an amazing job.......your entire portfolio here is out standing!!! thank you for your comments on my recent submission I would love to know a bit about your workflow on an image like thisas i am sure everyone would... not that you probably want to let the secretout....but perhaps you could let us know some of the basics you do ie: photoshop or some other program?PWL? High Pass ? USM? both? lucis? basically a starting point to begin to achieve such photo's would be great. perhaps you can recommend post processing book/tutorials/classes that may lead one to this sort of "look" thank you! piersing 0 Posted March 1, 2010 It seems something like Peter Pan home... light is so good in this country, but the colour is more interesting here. Beautiful shot! Link to comment

mike_hitchen 0 Posted March 1, 2010 To be honest this photograph leaves me a bit cold. It seems like the processing has pulled the kids out of the picture to the point it seems like they are posing in a studio and they seem detached from the background not part of it. The light is coming very strongly from behind but the kids but the boy in yellow (especially) seems well lit from this side and if you compare it to the darkness of the undergrowth it just sems odd. Have you lightened the kisd too much? Or taken on picture of the scenrey and then taken another with the kids there, exposing for them? Have you used a reflector to bounce (too much?) light back? I love the composition but the lighting just seems to confuse it all. Link to comment
steve_wagner1 1 Posted March 1, 2010 It certainly has a lot of heavy Photoshop and it isn't realistic, but it's undeniably a beautiful and very strong final image and a skillful original capture in any case. Link to comment
