I live in the desert and have shot it for years. Your shot just does not do anything for me.

Hey, Eugene, I agree with Anish, this is one of your nicest shots. Actually, you've got a whole bunch of superb images in your portfolio; and a whole bunch of great desert images too! I have no idea what Steve Rasmussen's problem is; that was about the most arrogant comment I've ever read here on PN. He never said why he didn't like it, nor what he'd have done differently. Pay that comment no mind whatsoever. It looks like a lot of people disagree with him too. I've lived in the desert for about 30 years and this was an absolutely wonderful image. This is a great shot! I think the saturation might be a little high. I would love to see it toned down a bit. Would probably make a great B&W as well. JTree always looks good in B&W with a little more blue channel in my opinion. Great job. Your portfolio is wonderful by the way.

Very attractive lighting with some drama inthe overcast backdrop. Nice work.

I've been to Joshua Tree several times, and have never come away with an image that has this wonderful lighting. Great shot.
