lonebearimages 0 Posted July 22, 2007 Hey, Eugene, I agree with Anish, this is one of your nicest shots. Actually, you've got a whole bunch of superb images in your portfolio; and a whole bunch of great desert images too! I have no idea what Steve Rasmussen's problem is; that was about the most arrogant comment I've ever read here on PN. He never said why he didn't like it, nor what he'd have done differently. Pay that comment no mind whatsoever. It looks like a lot of people disagree with him too. I've lived in the desert for about 30 years and this was an absolutely wonderful image. Keep up the great work! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
jim wrightwood 0 Posted July 22, 2007 This is a great shot! I think the saturation might be a little high. I would love to see it toned down a bit. Would probably make a great B&W as well. JTree always looks good in B&W with a little more blue channel in my opinion. Great job. Your portfolio is wonderful by the way. Cheers. Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted July 23, 2007 A very good shot Eugene. A perfectly timed image and, as usual, not appreciated by the boring PN raters. Link to comment
yexie 0 Posted July 25, 2007 Thanks everyone for your comments and encouragement. I personally like the drama this shot presents. Mike, I have long ago learnt not to be bothered by low ratings. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted September 11, 2007 I've been to Joshua Tree several times, and have never come away with an image that has this wonderful lighting. Great shot. Link to comment
