markboyer 0 Posted July 21, 2007 I really like the color palette on this group of shot; it's like a pale warmth. This is a terrific shot. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted July 21, 2007 I too enjoy the washed out colour look. Extremely intersting image. Well done Kim. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 22, 2007 I made some of these (plus other similar shots) into notecards. I put a single word on each one, with this one having the word "Harmony". They're kind of cool. Thanks for visiting - it's good to be home, but the river is going back up! Cross your fingers for us! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 22, 2007 You poor flooded people! I'll bet these do make great notecards. You are so talented! I've tried to email you a couple of times, but it comes back. Could you send me your correct email? Thanks! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted July 23, 2007 Surely,Cherlyn. Harmony is the key to Peace.Creative art brings you joy and satisfaction. Very good composition and colors. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted July 23, 2007 Harmony fits this well, Kim. I love the rosy tint overall set off by the bit of green in the corner. The softness is very appealing. Is the one a great white heron? and the other a spoonbill? Just curious. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted July 23, 2007 You are more courageous than I, for I cannot bring myself to lop off the water reflected head of a bird. I really like the softness of the image. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 23, 2007 Kim, I replied to your email, and it still came back. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted July 23, 2007 Serenity came to my mind but I like harmony better since it ties the two birds together. . this is a fine high key image with splashes of complementary color . . everything is perfectly balanced. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 24, 2007 Kim, what kind of message are you getting? I can email you another address to try. Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to comment on this one. I've printed it out 12x16 and am very happy with it. Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 24, 2007 Hi Kim, what I like about this picture is the silver/pink look of the water and ofcourse the composition, very beautifull --kind regards Els Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 24, 2007 Kim, the other email address doesn't work for me either. The "Permanent fatal error" message says: "550 Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table." The original address I tried said: "553 dynamic pool 65.161.239.3. )" I was trying to invite you to a pn get-together Susan Stone is having at her place in Montana August 16-19th. There is lodging available for $35/night, and she's taking us to her favorite photo sites. I'm driving up. We'd love to have you come! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 25, 2007 I emailed you and added you to my safe sender/recipient list. We'll see if that works! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 26, 2007 I tried replying to your email tonight, but it came back. Sorry you can't come, but have fun in CA! Link to comment

anthonyd 0 Posted July 30, 2007 Like Heaven on earth, Kim. Just wonderful to view, from the composition to the soft colors and light to the water ripples and faded tree reflection. ~Anthony Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 30, 2007 Flooded out again! Ed stayed put this time so he can't get out. I came to town and am staying at my mother-in-law's place again (since last Wednesday). No internet!!!!! Property at home is dry, but just can't get in there because low-water crossing has about 2-3' of water rushing over. Who would have thought S Texas could get so wet!!? lbattjes 0 Posted July 30, 2007 Oh no! Sorry to hear that! I remember living in San Antonio when it flooded (can't remember for sure, but I think it was '97). I'd never seen so much water! Now I'm getting used to it more...the Ohio River floods a great deal. Ugh. Good luck and stay safe! (Good thing Ed has his wine to keep him company!) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 30, 2007 Yep, he has wine, two dogs, and 3 cats for company! What more could he ask for?! I took groceries to a neighbor to boat to him yesterday. Once the milk and cream runs out, he goes a little crazy. :) Link to comment
