Can't we all get along like these two?

I really like the color palette on this group of shot; it's like a pale warmth. This is a terrific shot.

I too enjoy the washed out colour look. Extremely intersting image. Well done Kim.

I made some of these (plus other similar shots) into notecards. I put a single word on each one, with this one having the word "Harmony". They're kind of cool. Thanks for visiting - it's good to be home, but the river is going back up! Cross your fingers for us!

Harmony fits this well, Kim. I love the rosy tint overall set off by the bit of green in the corner. The softness is very appealing. Is the one a great white heron? and the other a spoonbill? Just curious.

You are more courageous than I, for I cannot bring myself to lop off the water reflected head of a bird. I really like the softness of the image.

Serenity came to my mind but I like harmony better since it ties the two birds together. . this is a fine high key image with splashes of complementary color . . everything is perfectly balanced.

Flooded out again! Ed stayed put this time so he can't get out. I came to town and am staying at my mother-in-law's place again (since last Wednesday). No internet!!!!! Property at home is dry, but just can't get in there because low-water crossing has about 2-3' of water rushing over. Who would have thought S Texas could get so wet!!?

Oh no! Sorry to hear that! I remember living in San Antonio when it flooded (can't remember for sure, but I think it was '97). I'd never seen so much water! Now I'm getting used to it more...the Ohio River floods a great deal. Ugh. Good luck and stay safe! (Good thing Ed has his wine to keep him company!)

Yep, he has wine, two dogs, and 3 cats for company! What more could he ask for?! I took groceries to a neighbor to boat to him yesterday. Once the milk and cream runs out, he goes a little crazy. :)
