gordonholman 1 Posted July 21, 2007 I can tell You need a longer lens , You have lost alot of resilution by cropping ? Nice capture though ! Link to comment

lbattjes 0 Posted July 23, 2007 Hi, Janis! What a lovely scene in your own front yard! I envy you that..beautiful. Agree on the longer lens...I see pixelation from over cropping, but still it's a wonderful moment to capture and treasure. Nice. Leslie Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted July 23, 2007 here's the shot, before the crop. where the yard meets the woods... Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted July 24, 2007 wow! no wonder. I'm impressed that it was as clear as it was from that much of a crop. Nice job! :) Link to comment
tammysphotos 0 Posted July 24, 2007 Indeed, sometimes it is about the moment captured rather than the quality of the photo. Nicely done, Janis. There's a buck that visits every evening to sample our apples trees - hope to photograph him soon! Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted July 27, 2007 Splendid. Is this from Spring or a late season fawn? It would be tough for someone to move back to the city with scenes like these in the yard. ~Sky Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted July 27, 2007 This was a new shot, she had them(we think) across the street and then came into our yard. She lost one... We have a tree farm and she kept them bedded in there. We see her everyday. After seeing this I am going to have a very hard time with the hunting thing. I do not hunt but other family members do. J Link to comment
gordonholman 1 Posted July 27, 2007 Janis , Just look at it this way ? would You rather see a hunter takeing a full grown deer or a wolf or cyotie take a fawn ? Either way By hunting them we cotroll there population , If we let them live without interveaning they will grow in large numbers and fight for food and cause desease with in each other , And here in Illinois there is 8 deer per square mile and more people in this state die from hitting them then aboretion, just think what would happen if we didn't hunt them ,hell i hate riding My motorcyckle at night cause of them , But they are cute animals . janisok 0 Posted July 27, 2007 I have actually hit one myself, with a car going 60mph. It was awful. And I do understand the need to controll population. It's just that I have never lived where I see the little babies. That maternal thing you know!? Link to comment
