caincaptures 0 Posted July 20, 2007 This is georgous. The dark blue sky highlights the trees and I like the reflections in the water. Nicely captured. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted July 20, 2007 This has a nice, beautifully structured circular composition, both in terms of the shapes, but also in the colors. I don't mean circular as in the eye moves in a circle, but in that the water is enclosed by a circle of green. I can't recall just now if there is a particular word for what I mean. I guess I mean the sky and water play off each other as twins, as does the foreground, and the middle ground. I think I would like to see something stronger in terms of a subject, though. A little more grass, maybe, and a little less sky? My eyes end up on the trees, so they *feel* like the subject, but they're so far away. The foreground grass is very interesting to me, in its many textures and colors, but it's being used as a frame, so I tend to think I'm not supposed to pay so much attention to it. Also, the plant on the right is actually pointing at the trees, which further strengthens their claim as the primary subject. This is all baloney of course. It's still a very calming, beautiful picture. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted July 20, 2007 Haha, Doug, it's not baloney, I totally agree with you. I was trying to fool around with the framing a little, and because the sky was so awesome, I wanted to get that in too. It wasn't a perfect scene to capture, just something I wanted to play with. Thanks, as always, for your "dead-on" comments. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted July 21, 2007 I could have sworn that I had seen this lake and green area before, and, lo, there it is in the other folder. I'm not sure which I like better. Was this from the same frame (cropped differently, that is), or is it an entirely different capture? Great work in any case, Liz. --Lannie Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted July 21, 2007 Yes, Lannie, it is a re-shoot. I had some comments on the last capture about changing some things, and I decided to see what I could get. Link to comment

jim craig 0 Posted December 2, 2007 Very nice Liz. Colors and lighting are very appealing and good Depth of Field and exposure. I think a strong foreground like you have here really helps to make an image like this. regards, jim Link to comment
