rogerleekam 0 Posted July 20, 2007 What a lovely portrait! I love the composition and especially the skin tones. The bright leaf bottom right is a bit distracting. Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted July 20, 2007 Thanks, Roger. It's a bride and her bouquet, and I've been looking at these wedding pics for two weeks. I suppose because it looks perfectly normal to me in full frame, it never occurred to me that it would look too busy/cluttered to anyone else. Just liked the expression, and it was a totally candid grab shot between numerous posed ones. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted July 21, 2007 Wonderful moment and nice detail.Excellent timing. I would suggest trying to tone it down a bit.The lighting is a bit harsh.Very good overall. Link to comment
eye of the lens 0 Posted July 26, 2007 This is beautiful. I did two weddings this summer but have not posted them yet. I love the idea of her face buried in the bouquet. Did you catch this moment or did you pose her? Barbara Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted July 27, 2007 Just a quick shot between poses, Barbara. Inside a very small cluttered room, still under construction. Glad you enjoyed it. FYI, it's a very tight crop from a full length(gown and all shot}. Had I moved in,or even taken time to zoom, I would have missed it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 31, 2007 Doug, it is a really great moment you've captured but the cropping in from a more distant shot makes it a bit fuzzy and soft. In this case the soft feeling would certainly work, but it looks "enlarging" soft, not camera soft. I, too, would mute the colors a bit. They're a bit dense in such a "soft" or dreamy context. It doesn't feel too tight to me, just intimate. Very nice idea. Link to comment

snapshooter 0 Posted August 2, 2007 The extreme crop/enlargement was still very sharp, albeit showing some very tight grain. I used Auto FX's Dreamy Photo to smooth/soften the effect, and additionally did reduce/mute the bouquet but didn't like it. I felt the bouquet was the main object and motivator for her expression, and left it prominent. I did clone in the white area of the leaf (bottom right) in another version. Link to comment
dnimey 0 Posted August 8, 2007 She looks so happy, like a dream come true, you can really feel it in this shot. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted August 12, 2007 Excellent composition. I like the dreamy softness because it causes me to imagine the wonderful future this bride anticipates, as she drinks in the scent of her wedding bouquet. Her lips are the color of the rose; the highlighting exentuates this harmony just as her golden hair matches the outside of the tall lily. Link to comment
