Painted in Corel Painter. Still just playing around & having fun:) I'm attaching the original for comparison. Lots of grain due to low light & high ISO.

Tired of the 3/3's without comment. I don't really mind the 3/3 or even a 1/1, what I mind is the lack of feedback regarding the 3/3 :P Is the composition bad? Is the color off? Is the detail lacking? Is the lighting poor? Do you hate Corel Painter images? Or are you just plain not a succulent fan? A simple one line sentence would suffice.

3/3's mean below average. I must assume (I hate assuming, we all know what the does) that you feel this is worse than the multitude of "snap" shots that appear here everyday. For what reason? Geez... It's aggravating. As I always say, better to be pissed off than pissed on :)

I am off to enjoy my day :p (Sticking my tongue out at the drive by 3/3'er, boo....foul play! :)

I have been useing that saying for more than 40 years, ( better to be pissed off than pissed on )Nothing seems to get folks hackles up more than the 3/3 raters. I love the emotion they create, everyone has a opinion of these raiders from the night, they swoop in and with but a slight twitch of the finger, leaving there hallmark 3/3, people look and are both bewildered and outraged, how can this happen this travesty of justice. Anyway I have ratteled on to much here, as to your succulent I have never been able to figure out how to work with them, so I am in admiration when I see other people who do. All the best to you........roger

You are so right :) It did not ruin my day :) So much to do, so little time :) I'm not fond of these darn things either, but.... it was late evening, nice subtle light, you know the scenario. Couldn't resist a try :) "Oh Well", another of my fond sayings :)

Lovely image and please keep Corel-ing up the place. Had fun playing with your original too. Nice image, lots of leeway. Those raters really mean for you to make 3+3 = 6. They've left out aesthetics because they don't have any sense of aesthetics. PS: Thanks for letting me come out and play with your image. Let me know if your ever bothered by it (I'll delete it)?

Oh heck no, I love it when people play with my stuff :) My Mama taught me to share (Of course it didn't hurt having 4 other siblings growing up :) They kind of forced me to learn to share :) A good lesson to learn.

I've loaned my 10D to more than a few people who are considering switching to a digital SLR. I find it very hard to understand when people won't share their toys and/or secrets. Funny, I just had a long conversation about sharing this weekend with my sister-in-law who is an Art teacher in Fla. We concluded that even if we gave away all our artistic secrets, the end result would be uniquely different from each individual, as evidenced by your version of my image. I love it! :) (She also comes from a large family & sharing was mandatory not optional:) So... fess up, how'd you create the new version? I really like it! It gives the succulent a feeling of inner warmth. I'm getting ready to have my own one man (woman) show. My art will be displayed in a local business. I'm feeling a little stressed, not much, just a little :)

I'm going to remember the 3+3=6 thing :) Made me snicker :) I love Corel Painter (Kim Slonaker told me I would & she was right :) I just couldn't operate without my 20D, a Wacom tablet, Photoshop, Corel Painter & now, Auto FX Mystic filters. What a combination, too cool! (I just don't like the 5D, no pop up fill flash, I hate that, so it gets a 9 on my grading scale, the 20D gets the 10) I refuse to take the Mark II outside the studio, too heavy for the ole' wrist, works great on a tripod though :)

I just got the coolest new toy. It's a portable hard-drive made by Epson. It has this fairly large viewing screen (4x?)to view your images from a compact flash card. 80GB. I plan on taking it when we vacation. It also is an MP3 player & you can down load movies & watch them (kind of small I think for movie watching :) Way, way cool!
