olafdevries 0 Posted February 17, 2008 A white sky can be terrible. Here it is used in a terrific way! Fine ballance! Link to comment

celasun 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Thank you all for your comments on this photo.Neil,You may be right about the "bite". This is one of my first photos with a digital SLR camera. It was processed with little knowledge about raw conversion and digital editing. I think, I can add some bite to it now :)Olaf, I believe the white sky here makes the dark opening at the center look even more ominious. Thanks for your encouraging words.Linda,This was built for the sheep. People stay there only for short periods (during heavy rain, for example). However, there are "houses" like this not very far away... Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted January 7, 2009 I add these comments after at least 1 year of my submission of the image in question to Photo Net. I always make this kind of self evaluations. No harm can be done by sharing them.I like walking alone. I like to be alone, at least occasionally. I was alone with not a single person around while I took this photo. It was late afternoon or just before sunset. The dark opening was my focus. I felt like there was something inside pulling me in. I felt like the building was alive and looking at me, trying to communicate with me. Perhaps we could chat about loneliness... I could not go closer...I still like this photo & find it difficult to distance myself from my feelings while I took it. To my eye, it still looks pleasing photographically. Link to comment
