ronald_capasso 0 Posted July 18, 2007 I tried cropping bottom and yes I liked it better cropped. Beautiful image either way Link to comment
stp 6 Posted July 19, 2007 I tried a more severe crop than that done by Ronald, and while I like it (and Ronald's crop), I still like the original the best. What is working for me is the range of sharp detail in the foreground to the hazy loss of detail in the background. My crop removed some of this range, and therefore I don't think my crop is an improvement. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Indeed it's like a painting, the softness of the light has been used superbly, and the detail ands texture on the sand. A tremendous landscape, no doubt about it. Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted July 26, 2007 thank you for the comments, in particular ronald and steven for their suggestions. i fully agree with steven that cropping the lower part makes the picture somehow look less interesting Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 25, 2007 A beauty of nature, one of the nest I saw of the sands. very well framed and exposed. I like the original. Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted August 23, 2008 The flowing dune takes you right into the image and makes such a nice trail for the eye to follow. The misty background helps not only show the depth but the fine detail in the foreground . I like this version best with the longer lead in. A beautiful image, Dieter! Link to comment
