jeffl7 0 Posted July 16, 2007 I think the mark of an artist is that there is something unifying to their work. I knew this was your photo before I even read the name. I said, self-satisfyingly to myself, "You're right!" Probably the only time I'll be right about anything today, so thank you for that. This photo is so lively, so lyrical, so graceful. Absolutely beautiful. I imagine properly framed, lit, and hung, this would command attention anywhere. Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted July 20, 2007 The movement looks like waves and the effect makes it a good abstract. Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted July 21, 2007 You merely had to wait until they floated into your frame :-)) Wonderful! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 23, 2007 Yes, I like this very much in the way it conveys the basic underlying rhythm of the dance in a single flow of motion. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted July 23, 2007 Very nice capture, dear Pnina. The movement effect is unique. Excellent and quite original shot! Regards! Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted October 22, 2007 Waves on the sea is what this reminds me of. This is quite a special capture. The arms crossing in an X pattern are interesting and the continuous flow of arms right across the frame from top to bottom and side to side is what gives me that impression of waves. A beautiful feeling of the dance. My only concern here and I notice this primarily because of the large number of motion shots I have taken, is that I can see 2 large bits of dust on your sensor. These tend to show up with the small apertures need to slow down the action at these higher light levels. They also stand out when everything in the image has a flow and direction except for the dust spots which remain static. It seems, for me at least, that no matter how often I clean my sensor I end up with these little bits of stuff. The first thing I have to do is use the healing brush or clone tool and remove them. pnital 36 Posted October 22, 2007 Thanks for your visit and comments, and you are right, the dust was there, but not any more.... I clean my sensor very often, but once in a while it happens that I was not aware of it..... how wonderful to have another pair of obsevant eyes like yours! I see what is the kind if photos you mostly draw to ;-)) but I like to try many approaches, I experiment a lot. Thanks Gordon, I'm very glad of your visit and value your comments. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted October 22, 2007 I change lens a lot and end up doing so often outdoors, so yes I end up cleaning my sensor very often too. I also like to try many styles and I certainly have noticed that you have many different types of experiments in your portfolio. This seemed like a good place to start leaving comments. I have plans to do much more travelling about amongst your photos. Link to comment
