very well done. I always wonder about the technical details. this is a very fine photo with the body of the bird really focussed/sharp. thye background is good, not distracting.

Very nice shot. The depth of field is good, the composition is good and the sharpness is good. You must have had some patience to get this shot. Although its a superb shot, there are a few elements I feel could be improved; The background is a little messy. I would be better if you had managed to get a cleaner green backgound (ideally with no purple flowers). You could also do with running the shot through a noise removal program as you seem to have a tiny bit of ISO noise (not hugely noticable, but its there non the less). I also feel that the body of the bird could have done with a tiny bit more contrast to make the pale chest feathers 'pop' a bit more. Lovely shot over all though :)

This is such an outstanding photo. Not only did you capture it at just the right moment, everything is in perfect focus. We wondered what kind of camera you used.
