bertr 0 Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks for your comment, Apurba; I thought that it's the distractions ( blades of Grass) which make this picture slightly more interesting. Without the grasses it would have been just another bed of water lillies. I will consider your comment carefully and thank you for it...Bert Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted July 16, 2007 I like the colours and reflections here. The stillness of the water and the composition with the one yellow flower is nice. Also, Bert, I agree with you that the grass should add something a bit original to this scene. But, I find the OOF blades in the foreground just a little too distracting. If you could have kept the rear blades and excluded the front ones from the image I think I would have liked it better. The only other two thing I would want to change are that I find the white flowers a little over-exposed (they have lost any petal detail and become kind of blob-like) and, I am not sure, but, I feel as though this isn't level (needing about +0.66 rotation). mommix 0 Posted July 16, 2007 Wonderful distractions in this perfect and splendid composition! I like the green threads and the delicate white of the flowers in the water. Bravo, Bert! All my compliments, bye Maury Link to comment
danstan 0 Posted July 27, 2007 I rather like the distractions, different than the usual shots. The white flowers still overpower the reeds and therefore capture your eye. db Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Lovely composition, you have captured the randomness of growth in nature in a pleasing manner. This is much more interesting than a capture of only lily pads where it is quite easy to produce a rules of composition image. What attracted my eyes are the beautifully exposed & saturated greens.if you had of exposed for the white flowers believe this would have resulted a darkening of the greens resulting in a less pleasant image.
