"In Gear" 1966 San Francisco, Haight Ashbury

When I was 17yrs and 18yrs old I was highly intested in photography. I was born and raised in San Francisco,Calif. And lived in the Haight Ashbury during the years of 1966 and 1967 and saw it all and took many photo's of the time. Many I have still to scan and clean up and I have some 400' of 16mm movie film of "happenings" "The Gratefull Dead" and "Be in's" in the Park. When I can afford it I will have it devloped and hope the film is still good. But I have enough to start this folder and more will be added when time allows. I put this out not as works of art. But to let myself and others see this very interesting time in my generation's historicial experience. When this project becomes more complete I will make it into a presentation.

I'll be watching

I like the subject and the framing. The lighting is good but too harsh on the rear of the car and the awning where the white rectangle is. If you have the capability, I would try dodging the print at the back end of the car to cut down on the harsh ligting there. I don't know if there is much you can do about the awning.

 

Note: I particularly like the angle at which this was shot and the motion of the foot in the foreground.
